🌿 Recently, our team had the privilege of visiting Bulgandry in Brisbane Water National Park, guided by local Aboriginal man Uncle Gavi Duncan.

Bulgandry is an ancient engraving site of deep cultural and spiritual significance to Aboriginal people, with rock carvings that are thousands of years old. These engravings form part of a living cultural landscape that embodies creation stories, connections and the enduring relationship between people and Country.

Spending time onsite with Uncle Gavi allowed our staff to understand how Designing with Country respects and acknowledges the Traditional Owners. By weaving local Aboriginal knowledge, stories, and cultural values into our design process, we ensure that every project honours the deep history of the land and contributes to its ongoing care.

Experiences like this reinforce the importance of recognising Country not simply as a project site, but as a place with deep cultural significance and ongoing custodianship.

A sincere thank you to Uncle Gavi Duncan for generously sharing his knowledge and guiding us on this important journey.
