
A Landmark Development at Morisset Park: ADW Johnson’s Role in the Trinity Point SSD Approval
We are proud to share that ADW Johnson played a key role in assisting Johnson Property Group secure approval for the Trinity Point State Significant Development (SSD) at Morisset Park.
This $600 million project will transform the area, featuring:
- 6 eight-storey buildings
- 218 waterfront apartments
- 220 hotel rooms
- 2 world-class 300-seat restaurants
- A cutting-edge wellness center
- Basement parking and much more!
The design of the development, characterised by fluid and sculptural forms draws inspiration from the stunning local landscape, including the nearby mountains, water, and trees.
Our team was instrumental in navigating the complex approval process, which included:
- Preparing and submitting a Planning Proposal to Lake Macquarie City Council to amend site specific planning controls related to Trinity Point set out in Lake Macquarie Local Environmental Plan 2014;
- Applying for the Planning Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARS);
- Preparing the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) which included a range of specialist reports;
- Submitting the development application (DA) package to the NSW Minister for Planning;
- Facilitating and responding to requests for additional information from the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI)
This development represents a major step in the evolution of Morisset Park, and we are excited to see it come to life!
