We are excited to announce that Minmi Stage 1B1 was officially registered by the LRS in December, marking a major milestone for the Minmi project! After two years of hard work, collaboration, and overcoming numerous challenges, Precinct 1B stage 1 has now been completed and we are ready to progress to the next stage.
This project has certainly been an exciting and at times challenging journey. With countless obstacles along the way, the exceptional teamwork between Winten, Daracon, and ADW Johnson has been key to the successful construction of this stage. The collaboration and determination of everyone involved have truly driven this project to its successful outcome.
A huge thank you to everyone who has been involved in making this milestone happen—Winten, Daracon, and the ADW Johnson team. From design to construction, it’s been a true team effort. As we take a moment to reflect on this achievement, we’re proud to see our collective hard work and expertise come to fruition.
Stage 1B1 has involved a full suite of ADW Johnson services to design, approve, and construct:
🔹 102 lots with roads and services
🔹 200,000m³ of cut/fill earthworks
🔹 Grouting of old mine workings
🔹 Construction of a concrete roundabout on a major public road, including a 4-lane road rebuild
🔹 Two stormwater basins
🔹 A new WWPS with a 6.8m diameter, 11m deep wet well (one of the largest in the region!)
🔹 upgrading an existing WWPS with a barometric loop
🔹 A pressure reducing valve
🔹 1050m long, DN450 lead-in sewer main
🔹 700m long, DN250 lead-in water main
This has been a significant project that we’re proud to have played such a key role in. The last couple of months of 2024 were particularly busy ensuring all approvals, certifications, and final details were in place so the developer could realise their investment.
A big thank you to all our partners and collaborators for their hard work and dedication. We look forward to seeing the continued success of the Minmi project!
