Trinity Point

Trinity Point is a $580 million luxury waterfront living and leisure development in Lake Macquarie envisaged by Johnson Property Group (JPG) “to redefine the standards of elegance and community in Australia. Featuring world-class amenities including a state-of-the-art marina, a five-star hotel, exquisite dining options, and a holistic wellness centre, Trinity Point is more than just a destination—it's a lifestyle” [Source: Johnson Property Group].

Along with the completion of the land lot sub-division, works completed to date on site comprise the Trinity Point Marina (Stage 1), which forms an integral part of Johnson Property Group’s (JPG) vision to create a world class land and water based destination that forms part of an experience and interaction with Lake Macquarie. The Trinity Point Marina contributes to the reinforcement of the profile of Lake Macquarie for tourism, boating, recreation and lifestyle. Part of the establishment of the Marina precinct included the delivery of the restaurant “8 at Trinity”, a 350 seat restaurant located on the foreshore at the Marina.

The Trinity Point Marina project involves the establishment of a total 188 berths (delivered across 2 x 94 berth stages); floating wave attenuator; public boardwalk; floating marina office; chandlery; ensuites; foreshore improvements; landscaping; fuel and wastewater pump out facilities; utility infrastructure and carparking. A floating helipad will also be integrated into the Marina development.

Town Planning

The ADWJ team prepared three separate Designated Development Applications (one for each stage of the marina and one for the helipad) on behalf of JPG. Services provided included the identification of approval pathways, obtaining SEARs, preparation of an Environmental Impact Statement to accompany each application, participation in community engagement, liaison with regulatory agencies, participation in the Regional Planning Panel process and appearance as the Town Planning Expert Witness in NSW Land & Environment Court proceedings (relevant to the Helipad project).

The ADW Johnson Town Planning engagement continues with the revised State Significant Development (SSD) approval secured for the proposed Resort Hotel and Residential Precinct, with the Development Application currently under assessment.

As part of our original engagement on Trinity Point, ADWJ undertook a comprehensive review of the Development Applications for the land subdivision and modified the consent to coordinate seamlessly the staging of infrastructure works, connectivity to the Marina and resort (restaurant) development, and integrate updates to stormwater management techniques.
